What we do to reduce poverty through manufacturing

We enable volunteers with technical, non-technical or business skills to complete problem-solving tasks online for organisations in developing countries that have a strong social mission which is achieved through manufacturing or production related activities.

The tasks are specified by the organisations and include improving processes, products and maintenance and quality levels as well as helping to locate donated equipment, or new customers, suppliers and funding sources. Volunteers also perform research and training, and develop business and environmental systems.

The manufacturing we support is for example tailoring that enables employment of marginalised citizens, food processing that generates AIDS reduction funding, waste processing to educate about sustainability or the manufacture of affordable poverty alleviating products.

Get involved! We work with both existing and start-up organisations. There is no cost for organisations, volunteers and supporters to participate, no minimum time commitment and all skills and backgrounds are needed!
